Lay Off’s Hit THQ…Which Game Got Hit Hard?

So this may be a shock to many and it really impacts me because Vigil Games is one of my favorite developers in the industry. It looks like THQ is set to lay off 79 employees who are working on War Hammer Dark Millennium. Radical changes to the title are taking place…the game will no longer be an MMO but instead will be a single player title with an online portion.

THQ has attempted to seek out a partner to keep War Hammer Dark Millennium as an MMO but due to changes in the industry this is not currently feasible. At the very least the title will see a launch and the studio is still set to release Darksiders 2 on January 26.

My poor little gaming heart nearly shattered when I found out about this and I know I might be being selfish but at least my precious Darksiders 2 is still very safe. For fans of the expected War Hammer Dark Millennium how do you feel about the rather significant changes?
